The Administrative Coordinator supports the day-to-day administrative, human resources, functions of Fresh Start Contracting. This broad role ensures smooth and compliant operations across the company while contributing to a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is organized, people-oriented, and eager to wear multiple hats in a dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
Human Resources & Onboarding
- Assist with recruiting efforts including posting job openings and maintaining candidate records
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
- Maintain applicant tracking records and hiring documentation
- Coordinate full-cycle onboarding for new hires, ensuring a welcoming and organized experience
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR data with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with employee offboarding and associated documentation
- Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, and questions
- Assist with maintaining HR policies, procedures, and internal documentation
- Provide administrative support related to employee relations matters, coaching documentation, and disciplinary records
General Administration
- Provide general office administrative support including answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies
- Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and general document preparation
- Support day-to-day operations to ensure the office runs efficiently
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Ensure subcontractor insurance certificates are current and on file, following up on expirations as needed
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 1–2 years of experience in an administrative, HR, or similar role
- General knowledge of HR practices, functions (talent management, recruitment, evaluations), and applicable federal and state labor laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize across different functional areas
- Microsoft Office proficient: specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Comfortable with basic social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) or willingness to learn
- Experience working in an office setting with excellent computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Valid driver’s license
- Professional image in dress, grooming, and demeanor
- Must adhere to all policies outlined in the Fresh Start Contracting company handbook
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Works on the Finance team and oversees all Human Resources at Fresh Start Contracting Corp.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires sitting for long periods of time. The employee will also be viewing screens (computers, mobile devices, etc.) for long periods of time which may have adverse effects on vision. This position also requires a lot of typing. Using a mouse and keyboard for extended periods has been linked to carpal tunnel syndrome. The employee must have excellent stamina to sit for long periods, stand quickly as well as walk around the office. Essential duties will require bending, using hands and fingers, talking and hearing.SALARY: $22-25 PER HOUR
